Capote Cabin

The new Capote Cabin, named after our famed, multi-time color champ winner, Capote, is awaiting you! It is nestled in its own private spot, and to further enhance the secluded feel, we've included a privacy blind on the porch.

Want to meet Capote personally? He's is normally found right down the private trail behind your cottage in the shade of the inviting timbers!

This cabin is decorated to invoke the feel of a time gone by, maybe your Grandmother's time, with a very romantic, black queen size bed that whispers 'welcome.' It also has a very elegant love seat with matching footstool. The cabin is trimmed out with a white drop leaf table, curio cabinet, and a plethora of Capote's ribbons, photos, and keepsakes.

The Capote is our closest cabin to the parking lot and has special parking right outside of the door with a ramp, and the bathroom is set up with a walk-in shower.

Snug under 100-year-old, grand pecans and oaks, the Capote faces Lamont Pond where the dancing fountain soothes and relaxes guests and provides a special treat when lighted at night. Feel free to take a rod and reel and fish for catfish (catch and release please).

The Capote Cabin includes DISH Network TV with DVD (free loaner movies available from our library), refrigerator, microwave, and a natural surround.

Walk right out your door to pet and feed geese in their natural habitat. Enjoy nature by being part of nature itself!

Rock on our custom-built rocking chairs on the porch listening to the sparkle of the falling fountain mist.

Want to use your laptop? Of course, you do! Free Wi-Fi available 24/7.

Spa, theatre, and casino packages available with advance notice.

We wish to thank Ms. Toni Norton and Ms. Dana Smotherman for their donation made in loving memory of their father, Mr. Stringfellow, of the ramp for the physically challenged to access the Capote Cabin.
